About The Customer
Intrum is a market-leading credit management services company that helps its clients get paid for the goods and services they sell and help individuals get out of debt. Intrum has offices in 25 countries, supports 80,000 companies, and is in contact with 250,000 people in debt every day. The company is committed to sustainability and was looking for a solution to manage its sustainability data more efficiently and effectively. Intrum has approximately 100 active users on Worldfavor’s Sustainability Management Solution, including appointed employees for each country unit who are in charge of coordinating data collection in Worldfavor, colleagues that need to report specific data and answer questions, and the managing directors of each country unit who sign off on data collection.
The Challenge
Intrum, a leading credit management services company, was struggling with the manual and time-consuming process of managing its sustainability data. The company was using Excel sheets to collect and analyze social and environmental data from its local units. This process was not only labor-intensive but also made it difficult to keep track of the latest data updates and find relevant information for specific tasks. The company wanted to automate the most time-consuming parts of data collection, get a good overview of the data, and make it easy to compare the data historically and between local offices. It was also important for Intrum to enable its local offices to use sustainability data to inform decisions, track progress, and compare with other entities across the group.
The Solution
Intrum implemented Worldfavor's Sustainability Management Solution to manage its sustainability data. This platform digitized the data collection process, making it easier for employees to retrieve and overview the data. The questions related to data collection were answered directly in Worldfavor, simplifying communication between Intrum’s local offices. The platform also allowed employees to get an overview of the data regardless of their location, promoting transparency in Intrum's sustainability efforts. Each local office could compare its performance, identify strengths, learn from other offices, and pinpoint areas of improvement. The platform's ease of use increased collaboration between colleagues and made it possible to report on sustainability more frequently, providing better insights into the company's sustainability work and progress.

Hospital Inventory Management
The hospital supply chain team is responsible for ensuring that the right medical supplies are readily available to clinicians when and where needed, and to do so in the most efficient manner possible. However, many of the systems and processes in use at the cancer center for supply chain management were not best suited to support these goals. Barcoding technology, a commonly used method for inventory management of medical supplies, is labor intensive, time consuming, does not provide real-time visibility into inventory levels and can be prone to error. Consequently, the lack of accurate and real-time visibility into inventory levels across multiple supply rooms in multiple hospital facilities creates additional inefficiency in the system causing over-ordering, hoarding, and wasted supplies. Other sources of waste and cost were also identified as candidates for improvement. Existing systems and processes did not provide adequate security for high-cost inventory within the hospital, which was another driver of cost. A lack of visibility into expiration dates for supplies resulted in supplies being wasted due to past expiry dates. Storage of supplies was also a key consideration given the location of the cancer center’s facilities in a dense urban setting, where space is always at a premium. In order to address the challenges outlined above, the hospital sought a solution that would provide real-time inventory information with high levels of accuracy, reduce the level of manual effort required and enable data driven decision making to ensure that the right supplies were readily available to clinicians in the right location at the right time.

Hardware Retailer Uses Data Warehouse to Track Inventory
Ace tracked which products retailers ordered, when they were ordered and shipped. However, the company could not track or forecast actual sales. Data used for reporting was up to a one-week old, owing to performance and data cleansing issues. Requirement to integrate wholesale and inventory data with POS data to help drive key business decisions, improve category management, lower inventory costs and optimize pricing. Reliance on custom coding to integrate POS data was excessively resource intensive and led to major performance constraints.
