About The Customer
Damian Taylor is a four-time Grammy-nominated producer/engineer with a diverse lexicon of music creation talents. His skills range from music production, engineering, mixing, composing, programming, performing, editing, to software designing. This wide range of skills has made him a sought-after collaborator in the music industry. His discography includes A-list acts such as Bjork, The Prodigy, UNKLE, and most recently, The Killers. For The Killers' latest release, Battle Born, Taylor took on the role of producer, contributing to all aspects of the project, from technical to creative.
The Challenge
Acclaimed music producer, Damian Taylor, was tasked with producing an album for the popular band, The Killers. The project required a recording system that could handle massive and complex sessions, as Taylor's contributions spanned all aspects, from technical to creative. The project also involved frequent movement between Taylor's Golden Ratio Studio in Montreal and the band’s Battle Born Studios in Las Vegas. The challenge was to find a system that could handle large amounts of tracks and system-intensive plugins, while also being portable and compatible with the rest of the studio's equipment.
The Solution
The solution came in the form of Pro Tools | HD Native, which provided the power, speed, and reliability that Taylor needed. The system was portable, allowing Taylor to easily transport it between studios. It also offered complete compatibility with the rest of the studio, enabling seamless collaboration. Pro Tools | HD Native was able to handle large, complex sessions, which was essential for the creative process. The system's reliability was paramount in maintaining an organic, creative environment for the band. The 'killer' sound and rock-solid performance of Pro Tools | HD Native won Taylor over, enabling him to focus on creating the best possible mixes for the album.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
