The network generates a massive amount of content, making managing and archiving media a key challenge. In order to further its position as one of the leading Arabic channels in the Middle East, Qatar TV needs to operate efficiently, manage and maximize the value of its media assets, and produce the highest-quality content. The Challenge
Qatar TV, a leading Arabic channel in the Middle East, was faced with the challenge of managing and maximizing the value of its vast media assets while producing high-quality content. The network produces a wide range of programming, from arts and technology to education and entertainment, generating a massive amount of content. This made managing and archiving media a key challenge. Furthermore, as Qatar TV built a new newsroom studio and broadcasting complex at its Doha headquarters, it needed to streamline its workflows, enhance collaboration, and improve operational efficiency to maintain its leading position in the industry.
The Solution
To address these challenges, Qatar TV implemented a complete end-to-end Avid workflow, built upon the Avid MediaCentral platform and utilizing technology based on the Avid Everywhere strategic vision. The Avid Professional Services team designed, implemented, and installed a full complement of media solutions, including video editing, newsroom management, and audio post-production, to meet Qatar TV’s unique needs. The system at the heart of the solution was Interplay | MAM, which provided a comprehensive and intelligent solution for media asset management. This enabled production teams to store, access, and share content quickly and efficiently. By combining Interplay | MAM with Interplay | Production, Qatar TV was able to streamline the production workflow and enhance collaboration, enabling its staff to handle the extraordinary volume and diversity of content the station generates.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
