About The Customer
Myron’s Cabaret Jazz is a renowned 240-seat venue located in The Smith Center, Las Vegas. The venue, which first opened in 2012, features some of the biggest jazz artists coming through Las Vegas. The venue is led by head audio engineer Kevin Harvey, a longtime touring engineer who handles the front of house mix, and assistant audio head and monitor engineer, Kevin Ruschmann. Myron’s Cabaret Jazz caters to some pretty big shows, running up to around 61 inputs and 20 stage mixes. The venue is known for its high-quality sound and has received numerous positive reviews for its performances.
The Challenge
Myron’s Cabaret Jazz, a premiere jazz venue in Las Vegas, was faced with the challenge of updating their live sound consoles to support the largest touring acts. The venue, which hosts some of the biggest jazz artists, was struggling with their aging SC48 consoles that were unable to deliver the channel counts needed for larger shows. The SC48s lacked sufficient inputs for the shows and could not load enough plugins due to limited DSP. This resulted in the need for a sub-console and sending stems up to the stage, which was far from ideal. The venue needed a solution that could provide powerful processing, superior sound quality, and tight Pro Tools integration.
The Solution
To overcome their challenges, Myron’s Cabaret Jazz chose to upgrade their sound system with dual, networked Avid VENUE | S6L systems. The S6L systems were chosen for their familiar VENUE workflows, powerful processing, and superior sound quality. The S6L systems also offered tight Pro Tools integration, which was a key requirement for the venue as they record a lot of the acts coming in. The S6L systems provided the venue with the flexibility to remain technologically relevant in the future, with continual updates and improvements. The sound quality, clarity, and responsiveness of the S6L systems were standout features that appealed to the venue. The S6L systems also offered a user-friendly experience, with a layout that was easy to use and a flow that allowed quick access to different in-ear mixes.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
