About The Customer
The customer in this case is the Oslo Spektrum Arena, a large multi-purpose indoor arena located in east-central Oslo, Norway. The arena is primarily known for hosting major events such as the annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert, Eurovision Song Contest, and concerts by artists of national and international fame. In this particular instance, the arena was hosting three sold-out shows for Norwegian hip hop superstars, Karpe Diem. The band is known for their active live performances and collaborations with a great number of other Norwegian artists. The shows were not just a triumph for the band, but also a powerful demonstration from Norwegian equipment suppliers.
The Challenge
The Oslo Spektrum Arena was faced with the challenge of elevating the audio production for three sold-out shows of Norwegian hip hop superstars, Karpe Diem. The complexity of the production was heightened by the involvement of other guest artists, requiring a robust and reliable solution to ensure a seamless live performance. The production directors were keen on running the shows extremely safely, necessitating full backup for every crucial part of the production. The challenge was not only to ensure a flawless audio experience but also to record the show for future use. The production team had to work with 64 channels of signals from the stage, including an acoustic drum kit, electric bass, guitar amp, keyboards, DJ, backing tracks, FX and scratching, and multiple vocal lines.
The Solution
The solution was found in the use of four Avid VENUE | S6L consoles, with dual layouts for both Front of House (FOH) and monitors. These consoles were provided by Lydkjelleren, in collaboration with Avid live sound partner, Benum. The consoles were used to cover the live performance and also to record the show. The dual layout ensured that if any issue occurred with one of the mixers, the other would seamlessly take over, ensuring uninterrupted audio production. The S6L consoles were chosen for their ease of use, flexibility, and superior sound quality. The transition to the S6L was smooth as it allowed the team to open their show files and proceed seamlessly with them on the S6L. All settings and programming remained unchanged, and there was no need for external outboard. The entire show was run in the box.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
