About The Customer
Revolve Robotics is a company that specializes in creating advanced robotics solutions. They aim to revolutionize the healthcare industry by making remote healthcare more engaging and accessible. Their product, Kubi, is a telepresence robot that is designed to bring a more human element to telemedicine. Kubi is used in various healthcare settings such as care homes, doctors’ offices, and hospitals to enable a range of telemedicine use cases. It allows medical professionals to connect with patients in a simple and more human way, thereby enhancing the overall telemedicine experience.
The Challenge
The healthcare industry has been grappling with the challenge of making telemedicine systems less complex and more cost-effective. The existing systems were not only expensive but also lacked the human element, making it difficult for medical professionals and patients to connect in a meaningful way. The challenge was to design a solution that could simplify the process of telemedicine, making it more engaging and human-like. The goal was to create a system that could allow medical professionals to assess the situation remotely and engage in face-to-face interactions with patients, thereby enhancing the overall telemedicine experience.
The Solution
Revolve Robotics came up with a unique solution - Kubi, a telepresence robot. Kubi is a tablet mounted on a remotely controlled robot, equipped with an easy-to-use app that uses the Vonage Video API. This innovative solution allows remote practitioners to look around, assess the situation, and engage in face-to-face interactions with patients. The Vonage Video API was easily customizable and could be integrated with Kubi's advanced robotics, providing the flexibility needed without compromising on the quality of video calls. This integration of real-time communications with powerful robotics simplified patient interactions of all kinds and made video calls more engaging.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
