About The Customer
The primary customers of Roast or Toast are founders who are looking for actionable feedback on their products or applications. These founders are likely in the early stages of their business and are seeking advice from successful entrepreneurs, investors, and engineers. They are individuals who value the insights and experiences of those who have achieved success in their respective fields. These customers are likely to be proactive, open to feedback, and eager to improve their products. They are also likely to be tech-savvy, given the digital nature of the platform, and may have used or be familiar with no-code tools.
The Challenge
Roast or Toast is an app that provides a community for founders to receive actionable feedback from successful entrepreneurs. The founder, Daniel France, is a serial entrepreneur and full-stack developer who founded Actovos Consulting Group about seven years ago. He chose Bubble, a no-code platform, to build Roast or Toast to better understand no-code tools and how they work. The challenge was to create a platform where founders could receive valuable feedback without the noise and contradictions that often come with multiple sources of advice. The goal was to provide a space where founders could get free, actionable feedback from people who have succeeded in their respective fields.
The Solution
Roast or Toast was built to help founders sift through the noise and get actionable feedback from people who have succeeded. Daniel reached out to his network and built a growing team of Founders, Investors, Engineers, and more who all have a lifetime value of over $5M. These approved Roasters, and only them, are taking deep dives into products to give actionable feedback based on years of experience and success. The user experience is simple: once an account is created, users can submit their application/product for review. The team asks in-depth questions to truly understand the product and the reason for building it. Only approved Roasters review the product, not the general public.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
