The Challenge
Ryder, a leader in transportation, logistics, and supply chain management, sought to enhance the safety of its fleet, reduce costs, and eliminate inefficiencies. Initial concerns from drivers about the potential punitive use of collected data were addressed by management, emphasizing the system's preventive nature to reduce the need for disciplinary actions.
The Solution
Ryder selected GreenRoad for its driver behavior and fleet performance solution after an extensive search. The GreenRoad system provides comprehensive data on driving events, categorized into speed handling, cornering, lane handling, braking, and acceleration. This data is used to give drivers immediate feedback, allowing them to adjust their behavior in real-time. Ryder customized the installation to create unique vehicle safety profiles, aligning with their safe driving standards.
