Ryder selected GreenRoad for its driver behavior and fleet performance solution after an extensive search. The GreenRoad system provides comprehensive data on driving events, categorized into speed handling, cornering, lane handling, braking, and acceleration. This data is used to give drivers immediate feedback, allowing them to adjust their behavior in real-time. Ryder customized the installation to create unique vehicle safety profiles, aligning with their safe driving standards. The initial implementation at three locations was successful, with minimal business disruption. For Fox and his team, these requirements meant turning to the cloud instead of an on-premises datacenter. “My first thought was to go directly to the cloud because we needed to provide access not only to our salespeople, but to resellers who didn’t have access to our internal network,” says Fox. “The cloud just seemed like a logical choice.”
