About The Customer
Roberts Precision Machine is a precision manufacturing company based in Monroe, Washington. They have been using E2’s shop system, a product of Shoptech, for nearly 10 years. The company faced a severe IT crisis when their server crashed, leading to the deletion of nearly a decade's worth of critical data in their ERP system. The lost data included invoices, orders, part information, and costing data. The company was unsure if any of the information could be recovered and faced the daunting task of manually inputting the data back into its system.
The Challenge
Roberts Precision Machine, a precision manufacturing company based in Monroe, Washington, faced a severe IT crisis when their server crashed. This crash led to the deletion of nearly a decade's worth of critical data in their ERP system. The lost data included invoices, orders, part information, and costing data. The company was unsure if any of the information could be recovered. If a solution couldn't be found, Roberts Precision faced the daunting task of manually inputting the data back into its system. This would involve digging up old invoices and purchase orders, hunting through emails with customers and suppliers, and then inputting all of that information - by hand - back into the ERP. It would be an effort that would take months and likely still wouldn’t provide a complete picture.
The Solution
Roberts Precision Machine reached out to Shoptech for help. Shoptech was able to restore all of the lost information back into the E2 system. Rob, the general manager at Roberts, worked with Shoptech service reps in Las Vegas, Cincinnati, and Connecticut to get the job done. All of the reps understood the urgency and gravity of the situation and worked diligently to restore the data. The recent incident has only reinforced Rob's faith in E2. He has been recommending Shoptech and E2 to other shop managers and continues to do so after this incident.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
