About The Customer
Hinkler Park Plantations is a macadamia farm located in Queensland, Australia. They are involved in the entire process of macadamia nut production, from tree growth to the final product. Their operations require a large fleet of over 1,800 vehicles and assets, including loaders, graders, harvesters, tractors, and more. The work on the plantation is seasonal, with different machinery required for different tasks throughout the year. In addition to their regular operations, Hinkler Park is also continually developing new land throughout the year.
The Challenge
Hinkler Park Plantations, a macadamia farm based in Queensland, Australia, faced significant challenges in managing their fleet of over 1,800 vehicles and assets. The fleet, which includes loaders, graders, harvesters, tractors, and more, is crucial to the farm's operations from tree growth to production. The work on the plantation is seasonal, with different machinery required for different tasks throughout the year. This seasonal nature of work, coupled with the continual development of new land, made it difficult to budget and plan for fleet maintenance. Major repairs could only be assessed during the off-season, and the varying demand for different machinery throughout the year posed additional challenges. The farm needed a solution that could help them manage their fleet more efficiently and effectively.
The Solution
Hinkler Park Plantations implemented FleetWave in 2019 to manage their extensive fleet. FleetWave is a fleet management solution that allows the farm to monitor their machinery according to their use. The FleetWave Driver app, used daily by Hinkler Park, has an intuitive interface that helps speed up and regulate driver admin from anywhere, bridging the gap between drivers and the office. This ensures compliance and reduces costs. The app has also enabled Hinkler Park to go paperless with their fleet maintenance, streamlining their processes and making them more efficient. By using FleetWave, Hinkler Park is able to stay ahead of the game and be ready for the next season.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.

Integration of PLC with IoT for Bosch Rexroth
The application arises from the need to monitor and anticipate the problems of one or more machines managed by a PLC. These problems, often resulting from the accumulation over time of small discrepancies, require, when they occur, ex post technical operations maintenance.
