About The Customer
Stump's primary customers are voters who seek unbiased information on politicians, ballot measures, and other pressing political issues. The app is designed to help these individuals separate political propaganda and misinformation from the facts, thereby enabling them to make more informed voting decisions. In addition to individual voters, Stump also aims to serve larger organizations and politicians by providing a platform for year-round political engagement. Organizations can use Stump to recruit new members and encourage existing ones to vote, while politicians can use the app's virtual town hall tools to expand their reach with constituents.
The Challenge
Stump, a mobile application, was created to address the challenge of misinformation and political propaganda that often clouds the political landscape. The founders, Brian Hedden and Henry Lai, recognized that many voters lacked a comprehensive understanding of certain issues, which often led to uninformed voting decisions. The challenge was to create a platform that would provide unbiased information on politicians, ballot measures, and other pressing issues, thereby encouraging civic participation. The founders also wanted to create a platform that would benefit not only voters but also larger organizations and politicians by providing a year-round political action platform.
The Solution
Stump was designed with a strong emphasis on visual aesthetic and functionality, setting it apart from other platforms. The app allows voters to compare candidates and politicians by issue, engage in discussions about ballot measures with other users, and create personal voter guides that they can share with friends. In the future, organizations will be able to use Stump to recruit new members and encourage existing ones to vote, while politicians will have access to virtual town hall tools, which will expand their reach with constituents. The app was built on Bubble, a no-code tool that allowed the team to quickly create a prototype with actual election data, providing richer insights and user feedback.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
