About The Customer
Animo is a Dutch coffee machine company that delivers state-of-the-art coffee machines for both consumers and professional clientele. Their digital coffee machines are high-tech, robust, and require the right knowledge to operate at peak efficiency. Animo's professional customers, who buy industrial-grade coffee machines for commercial purposes, include thousands of professionals across Europe who rely on Animo Coffee Machines to provide high-quality coffee for offices, canteens, events, and trade shows. Their bottom line and reputation are tied to their ability to provide prompt service and high-quality products.
The Challenge
Animo, a Dutch coffee machine company, was facing a challenge in providing effective operational, maintenance, and troubleshooting support for their complex and high-tech coffee machines. Their professional customers, who use these machines for commercial purposes, required a certain level of support to operate these machines efficiently. Prior to 2016, Animo provided paper and PDF user guides to their customers, which were not as efficient or user-friendly. Animo identified this as an opportunity to increase value for their customers by digitizing these instructions, thereby improving their distribution and usability. The challenge was to revolutionize the way customers interacted with their machines, aiming to provide a quality coffee experience with an unparalleled user experience.
The Solution
Animo partnered with SwipeGuide to digitize the user guides of their machines. The SwipeGuide platform provided step-by-step visual setup, use, and maintenance knowledge to Animo's customers. This solution was designed to deliver operational knowledge in a format that facilitated task proficiency and on-the-job learning. It allowed veteran users to accomplish tasks and troubleshoot quickly, while enabling new recruits to onboard quickly and learn by doing. The platform was accessible on mobile and tablet devices, providing instant operational knowledge at hand. Additionally, Animo's network of Dealer Technicians had access to special technical SwipeGuide work instructions for additional technical support while performing repairs and maintenance. The content was updated instantly throughout Animo’s global network, ensuring the most recent and up-to-date content was always available.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
