关于客户
Cast Aluminum Solutions (CAS) is a manufacturer of standard- and custom-cast aluminum heated parts for the food service, medical device, and semiconductor industries. Headquartered in Batavia, Illinois, CAS was originally owned by Watlow Electric Manufacturing Company and was acquired by LV2 Equity Partners, LLC in February 2010. LV2 Equity Partners is a private equity group focused on investing in small to lower-middle market companies with sales ranging from $3 to $30 million. They provide capital, strategic direction, and financial expertise to CAS. Under new ownership, CAS has a strategic vision for growth, self-improvement, and success, focusing on engineering expertise, speed-to-market, and operational excellence.
挑战
Under the leadership of new owners, CAS faced the challenge of maximizing profits with limited resources. The company needed to move away from an outdated batch-driven ERP system to a real-time ERP solution to improve performance and streamline operations. The need was to select a robust ERP solution that required minimum investment of cash and IT resources, along with maximum integration and real-time visibility into operations. The company was attracted by the affordability of a cloud system, ease of maintenance, and the benefits of a large user group.
解决方案
CAS chose Plex ERP for manufacturers, a cloud-based solution that provides the functionalities of a larger ERP system but is affordable for smaller companies. The modularity of Plex ERP allows CAS to start with only the needed functionality and add more as required. The cloud model helps avoid costly hardware, software, IT maintenance, upgrades, and security. The implementation of Plex ERP enabled CAS to shift from batch processing to real-time processing, improving efficiency and operational transparency. The powerful inventory tracking system tracks containers, pieces, and assemblies in real-time, allowing quick response to issues and preventing quality problems.
