Excelitas faced challenges with delivering new environments quickly due to budget constraints and the need to over-provision hardware for future growth. The company had a complex and time-consuming IT environment due to a mix of dissimilar hardware from various acquisitions. Excelitas chose the Nutanix Xtreme Computing Platform (XCP) to address its infrastructure challenges. The company deployed the NX-1000, NX-3000, NX-6000, and NX-8000 series across nine locations in Canada, the United States, and Europe. Nutanix's hyperconverged infrastructure provided a simplified, scalable, and efficient solution for managing Excelitas' IT environment. The platform enabled Excelitas to run mission-critical workloads, including SAP ERP Suite, Microsoft SQL Server, and other applications, with improved disaster recovery capabilities. Nutanix's Prism management interface offered enhanced visibility and control over the infrastructure, allowing for centralized and local management.
