关于客户
factory14 is a European consumer goods company that specializes in acquiring, growing, and increasing the profitability of brands sold on Amazon. The company is part of the 'Fulfilled By Amazon (FBA) acquisition gold rush,' a billion-dollar industry characterized by intense competition. To maintain its competitive edge and deliver value, factory14 sought a way to obtain instant, self-serve insights to inform critical business decisions. The company operates across 15 countries and aims to empower its teams with the tools needed to make strategic decisions quickly and efficiently.
挑战
In early 2021, factory14's tech teams were building a data warehouse while brand management and operations teams struggled with over 40 Excel spreadsheets. This made it difficult to make quick business decisions or react swiftly to issues, and they were unable to restock products in a timely manner. The company needed a single source of truth to provide effective calibration and key insights across all brands, product categories, and markets. The existing system was cumbersome, and the need for a more unified and efficient solution was evident.
解决方案
To address these challenges, factory14's engineering team built on AWS infrastructure, utilizing AWS Lambda, Amazon Glue, Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), Amazon SageMaker, and Redshift. However, the company required a more customized solution, which was provided by ThoughtSpot. ThoughtSpot enabled business stakeholders to quickly access Redshift data by entering keywords into a search bar, allowing them to perform ad-hoc analyses using pre-built drilldowns. This self-service capability reduced the time spent on data requests and allowed stakeholders to focus on strategic tasks. The integration of ThoughtSpot and Redshift freed data scientists and analysts to concentrate on impactful tasks, such as pay-per-click strategy, conversion rate analysis, and pricing automation algorithms.

Improving Vending Machine Profitability with the Internet of Things (IoT)
The vending industry is undergoing a sea change, taking advantage of new technologies to go beyond just delivering snacks to creating a new retail location. Intelligent vending machines can be found in many public locations as well as company facilities, selling different types of goods and services, including even computer accessories, gold bars, tickets, and office supplies. With increasing sophistication, they may also provide time- and location-based data pertaining to sales, inventory, and customer preferences. But at the end of the day, vending machine operators know greater profitability is driven by higher sales and lower operating costs.

Revolutionizing Rodent Control
From pet- and child-safe traps, to touch-free and live-catch rodent control solutions, Victor continues to stay committed to producing superior products that meet the varying needs of today’s pest control professionals. And, with a long standing history supporting customers in the food processing, service, and retail settings, Victor knew that strict regulations were costing organizations thousands of dollars in excess overhead trying to manage their rodent-control solutions. Trap inspections in these environments are often difficult and time consuming, requiring personnel to manually check a trap’s status multiple times per day, amounting to over six hours of manual labor. Victor is looking for an innovative way to increase operational efficiencies with the use of technology.
