关于客户
Best Towing is one of the oldest and most trusted towing companies in the Huntington Beach area. For more than 30 years, they have been helping stranded drivers get back home after vehicle breakdowns. The company has been recognized three times as “Service Provider of the Year” and has even been featured on the television show “Overhaulin.” Josh Goodner, the go-to tech guy at Best, is in charge of anything related to technology for the company as well as in the trucks. The company's 26-vehicle fleet provides 24/7 service and handles about 4,500 AAA calls per month. It’s Josh Goodner’s job to provide technical support on the backend so drivers can help customers quickly, and without a hitch.
挑战
Best Towing, a trusted towing company in the Huntington Beach area, was facing challenges with compliance to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations. The company was using Keep Truckin’s Hours of Service app to manage their logs, but it was complicated and not user-friendly. The company needed a simpler solution for their drivers. Additionally, some of the drivers at Best Towing have been there for decades and were resistant to change, making the selection of an easy-to-use solution crucial. The company also wanted to prepare for the eventuality of additional requirements in the future.
解决方案
After comparing potential providers, Best Towing found that FleetLocate was the best product for their managers and their drivers. They began using FleetLocate in February 2018. FleetLocate allows Josh to keep up with regulations and easily monitor the whereabouts of his drivers. All trucks are set up to log hours of service and drivers use the mobile app to sign off on the hours they’ve worked. Beyond using the ELDs to stay in compliance, Josh also uses the data to track driver efficiency, fleet safety, and fuel expenses. The implementation of FleetLocate was surprisingly easy, with drivers quickly adapting to the new system. FleetLocate also provided anti-theft features, which proved useful when one of the trucks was stolen.

Integral Plant Maintenance
Mercedes-Benz and his partner GAZ chose Siemens to be its maintenance partner at a new engine plant in Yaroslavl, Russia. The new plant offers a capacity to manufacture diesel engines for the Russian market, for locally produced Sprinter Classic. In addition to engines for the local market, the Yaroslavl plant will also produce spare parts. Mercedes-Benz Russia and his partner needed a service partner in order to ensure the operation of these lines in a maintenance partnership arrangement. The challenges included coordinating the entire maintenance management operation, in particular inspections, corrective and predictive maintenance activities, and the optimizing spare parts management. Siemens developed a customized maintenance solution that includes all electronic and mechanical maintenance activities (Integral Plant Maintenance).

Monitoring of Pressure Pumps in Automotive Industry
A large German/American producer of auto parts uses high-pressure pumps to deburr machined parts as a part of its production and quality check process. They decided to monitor these pumps to make sure they work properly and that they can see any indications leading to a potential failure before it affects their process.
