关于客户
The customer is a European-based multi-specialty chemical company that is established in 58 countries. The company generates a revenue of €11 billion annually and has a workforce of 27,000 employees. The company was looking for a solution to track all employee safety and at-risk behaviors at retail and wholesale locations. They also wanted to analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for trend analyses and multi-dimensional charting. The company aimed to enhance its overall safety culture and drive safety improvements across site programs.
挑战
The enterprise was in need of a centralized system to enable behavior-based safety observations across various levels. They wanted to record employee observations at respective site, department, or equipment-specific levels and maintain real-time visibility to safety observations across multiple locations. They also wanted to leverage mobile technology to record observations. The enterprise was looking to enhance its overall safety culture and drive safety improvements across site programs. They wanted to analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for trend analyses and multi-dimensional charting.
解决方案
The enterprise deployed the Benchmark Management of Change application to fulfill key business and EHS/IT specific needs. This application helped to standardize change requests and evaluation process to meet basic and advanced change process needs. It also created a site-customized change management process using one standard application. The application enabled site change initiators to quickly submit change requests using an online interface, eliminating paper or manually-intensive review and sign-offs. A change management committee was enlisted to review and sign-off on approved change requests prior to execution. The enterprise also deployed other Benchmark applications like Incident Management, Action Tracking System, Compliance Calendar, Inspection Tool, Waste Tracker, Training Tracker, and Safety Risk Assessment.

Field Device Asset Management For Chemical Company in China
Chinese chemical subsidiary of multinational corporation serves customers throughout the world. Sales offices and research and technology centers are strategically located to provide rapid response to customer requests. Just two workers were assigned to maintain thousands of intelligent instruments in three production units, so they could do little more than react to device issues as they appeared. This costly maintenance method inevitably led to unexpected downtime when a critical instrument failed. Plant management recognized the need to change from reactive to predictive maintenance for all assets, including instruments and control valves, but help was needed in implementing such a technology-based initiative.
