关于客户
GEPRO AB, a company involved in industrial design, engaged in a mechanical design project to develop a new type of CD and DVD printing machine. The company, represented by Engineer Göran Ewerlöf and industrial designer Jonas Ahnmé, aimed to leverage their 15 years of mechanical design experience to create a machine that would utilize flexo-printing technology. This technology, traditionally used in the packaging industry, was to be adapted for printing on CDs, DVDs, and blu-ray discs. GEPRO AB sought to innovate in the field of disc printing by developing a machine that could print with six colors at low operating costs and high speed, achieving a maximum of 100 discs per minute. The company aimed to deliver a product that would stand out in the market by offering high-quality printing and operational efficiency.
挑战
Engineer Göran Ewerlöf and his partner Jonas Ahnmé were tasked with creating a new type of CD and DVD printing machine using flexo-printing technology, which was primarily used in the packaging industry. The challenge was to find a suitable CAD system capable of handling hundreds of parts, allowing easy modification of geometry, and creating associative technical drawings. The project required a system that could manage complex mechanical designs and ensure the correct fit and function of parts and assemblies. Göran and Jonas needed a solution that would allow them to prototype and test quickly without being bogged down by software limitations or rigid design rules.
解决方案
Göran Ewerlöf and Jonas Ahnmé chose IRONCAD as their CAD system after consulting with Solidmakarna AB, IronCAD’s largest authorized reseller in Sweden. IRONCAD provided the necessary tools for handling complex mechanical designs, allowing the engineers to manage features, parts, and assemblies efficiently. The software's scene browser and drag-and-drop functionality enabled them to increase their workload and perform complex analyses to ensure the correct fit and function of their designs. The built-in mechanism mode allowed for simulated movement, ensuring assemblies were collision-free and structurally sound. The final design of the EZ6 machine featured advanced servo motors for gearless printing and direct-driven high-resolution press rollers, achieving optimal print quality. The machine included six print stations, each capable of printing with a different color, and utilized high-resolution printing and curing stations to deliver superior image quality. The intuitive interface of IRONCAD allowed the designers to experiment with different design scenarios without being constrained by software limitations, leading to a successful and innovative product.

Improving Vending Machine Profitability with the Internet of Things (IoT)
The vending industry is undergoing a sea change, taking advantage of new technologies to go beyond just delivering snacks to creating a new retail location. Intelligent vending machines can be found in many public locations as well as company facilities, selling different types of goods and services, including even computer accessories, gold bars, tickets, and office supplies. With increasing sophistication, they may also provide time- and location-based data pertaining to sales, inventory, and customer preferences. But at the end of the day, vending machine operators know greater profitability is driven by higher sales and lower operating costs.

Remote Temperature Monitoring of Perishable Goods Saves Money
RMONI was facing temperature monitoring challenges in a cold chain business. A cold chain must be established and maintained to ensure goods have been properly refrigerated during every step of the process, making temperature monitoring a critical business function. Manual registration practice can be very costly, labor intensive and prone to mistakes.
