挑战
Innovatus Capital Partners, a New York-based boutique specialty finance firm with $1.6 billion in assets under management, faced the challenge of integrating emerging technologies across its nationwide commercial building portfolio. With a focus on capitalizing on disruption and growth, Innovatus recognized the opportunity to use real-time data and AI to reduce energy costs. The firm turned to Verdigris to implement Adaptive Automation at three initial properties in Orlando, FL, Miami, FL, and San Rafael, CA. The challenge was to optimize energy usage and demand savings in these commercial office buildings, which ranged from 120,000 to 165,000 square feet.
解决方案
The solution involved implementing Verdigris Adaptive Automation, which functions similarly to a self-driving system for buildings. This technology enables building management systems (BMS) to autonomously adapt to changing conditions, ensuring continuous and optimized performance. The approach combined real-time, high-frequency data from Verdigris energy meters with data from the BMS and third-party sources like weather data. Verdigris' AI used this data to develop forecasts on a 15-minute interval. The focus was on optimizing two key areas: reducing overnight chiller and pump usage and slightly relaxing supply temperatures during the day. By doing so, the system aimed to make the cooling supply more responsive to building demand without compromising occupant comfort.

Energy Saving & Power Monitoring System
Recently a university in Taiwan was experiencing dramatic power usage increases due to its growing number of campus buildings and students. Aiming to analyze their power consumption and increase their power efficiency across 52 buildings, the university wanted to build a power management system utilizing web-based hardware and software. With these goals in mind, they contacted Advantech to help them develop their system and provide them with the means to save energy in the years to come.

Intelligent Building Automation System and Energy Saving Solution
One of the most difficult problems facing the world is conserving energy in buildings. However, it is not easy to have a cost-effective solution to reduce energy usage in a building. One solution for saving energy is to implement an intelligent building automation system (BAS) which can be controlled according to its schedule. In Indonesia a large university with a five floor building and 22 classrooms wanted to save the amount of energy being used.

Commercial Building Automation Boosts Energy Efficiency
One of the challenges to building automation is the multitude of non-interoperable communications protocols that have evolved over the years. Buildings have several islands of automation. Bridging the islands of different automation without losing the considerable investment in each specialized control network is the main focus in this solution.
