The company is ISO 9001-certified, highlighting its commitment to quality and security standards. TDK Electronics' clientele includes high-profile customers who demand the highest levels of security and reliability. As a supplier to critical industries, the company prioritizes IT security to safeguard its infrastructure against cyber threats. The management board places a strong emphasis on security goals, including availability, confidentiality, and integrity, to maintain its reputation as a reliable supplier in the electronics sector.
挑战
TDK Electronics faced significant challenges in maintaining robust IT security due to the increasing sophistication of cyberattacks targeting their infrastructure. The company needed to detect and prevent attacks effectively while reducing the complexity of their security stack. Additionally, they aimed to decrease the rate of false positives, which was a significant issue with their previous solutions. The existing antivirus software was inadequate for the evolving threat landscape, especially with the rise of mobile device usage and sophisticated malware. TDK Electronics required a solution that could integrate AI to avoid dependency on frequent security updates and streamline security administration. The need for a comprehensive solution that could manage endpoint security across their global operations was critical, as the company had to ensure high levels of availability, confidentiality, and integrity for their high-profile clients in the automotive and industrial electronics sectors.
解决方案
TDK Electronics implemented the CrowdStrike Falcon platform to address their IT security challenges. The platform provides a comprehensive, cloud-based endpoint detection and response (EDR) solution that integrates AI, behavioral analysis, and vulnerability prevention. This approach allows TDK Electronics to protect its global environment against sophisticated attacks while simplifying security administration. The CrowdStrike Falcon platform was chosen for its ability to cover all aspects of IT security on clients and servers, offering a unified solution that eliminates the need for multiple products and dashboards. The platform's AI-driven capabilities ensure that security updates are not a bottleneck, providing real-time protection against emerging threats. TDK Electronics conducted a proof of concept with CrowdStrike, testing the platform on 700 computers and integrating it with their two-factor authentication system. The platform's granular rights management and reduced false positives were key factors in its selection. Following the successful proof of concept, TDK Electronics deployed the CrowdStrike Falcon platform across 13,700 devices worldwide, achieving a multi-level security strategy that enhances protection for both on-site and remote employees.

Integral Plant Maintenance
Mercedes-Benz and his partner GAZ chose Siemens to be its maintenance partner at a new engine plant in Yaroslavl, Russia. The new plant offers a capacity to manufacture diesel engines for the Russian market, for locally produced Sprinter Classic. In addition to engines for the local market, the Yaroslavl plant will also produce spare parts. Mercedes-Benz Russia and his partner needed a service partner in order to ensure the operation of these lines in a maintenance partnership arrangement. The challenges included coordinating the entire maintenance management operation, in particular inspections, corrective and predictive maintenance activities, and the optimizing spare parts management. Siemens developed a customized maintenance solution that includes all electronic and mechanical maintenance activities (Integral Plant Maintenance).
