关于客户
Founded in Copenhagen in 2010, Vivino offers everyday wine consumers a way to track, discover and share their wine experiences via the Vivino app. But Vivino is not just another wine app. It is the fastest and easiest way for consumers to access wines of the world, by connecting consumers and wineries globally. The company currently has 80 employees in Copenhagen and San Francisco, and over 15 million users worldwide.
挑战
Early in 2014, Vivino reached the point where localization was becoming critical to the company’s success and growth. It boasts an active community of wine-lovers from all over the world and the company knew that localization would be key to further engaging them. Vivino did not have anything in place for translation, so this was an entirely new undertaking. After hearing about Smartling through a partner in the wine industry, Vivino product manager, Christos Iosifidis, took a look at the company’s offerings and agreed that Smartling had the best solution for Vivino’s needs. Christos had experience with translation companies in previous roles and was impressed with the client services Smartling provides.
解决方案
One of the things that impressed Christos most was Smartling’s ability to work across platforms. Vivino’s services are offered on their website, as well as on mobile platforms such as Android and iOS, so being able to leverage translation from one platform to the next was an immense time-saver. Once they made the decision to partner with Smartling, Vivino began working to meet a tight schedule. Christos’ team was pleased at how fast Smartling had everything up and running, and with the quality of the solution. “Smartling’s API is straightforward and they have an experienced team,“ explained Christos. “The implementation process went very smoothly, and the fact that we don’t need to coordinate between translators is a huge benefit.”

Improving Vending Machine Profitability with the Internet of Things (IoT)
The vending industry is undergoing a sea change, taking advantage of new technologies to go beyond just delivering snacks to creating a new retail location. Intelligent vending machines can be found in many public locations as well as company facilities, selling different types of goods and services, including even computer accessories, gold bars, tickets, and office supplies. With increasing sophistication, they may also provide time- and location-based data pertaining to sales, inventory, and customer preferences. But at the end of the day, vending machine operators know greater profitability is driven by higher sales and lower operating costs.

Revolutionizing Rodent Control
From pet- and child-safe traps, to touch-free and live-catch rodent control solutions, Victor continues to stay committed to producing superior products that meet the varying needs of today’s pest control professionals. And, with a long standing history supporting customers in the food processing, service, and retail settings, Victor knew that strict regulations were costing organizations thousands of dollars in excess overhead trying to manage their rodent-control solutions. Trap inspections in these environments are often difficult and time consuming, requiring personnel to manually check a trap’s status multiple times per day, amounting to over six hours of manual labor. Victor is looking for an innovative way to increase operational efficiencies with the use of technology.
