挑战
Camanchaca, a leading Chilean seafood exporter, recognized the transformative potential of generative AI technologies for its operations. The company faced the challenge of democratizing data access across its workforce of 3,800 employees, enabling them to make informed decisions without the need for technical expertise. The traditional methods of data interaction were time-consuming, requiring employees to manually sift through and assemble data from various sources. This was particularly challenging for roles such as the Financial Controller, who needed to gather purchase order and procurement information from multiple dashboards and application screens. Camanchaca aimed to enhance decision-making abilities by providing accurate and contextual insights in a natural-language format, thereby simplifying the data interaction process for its employees.
解决方案
Camanchaca developed a groundbreaking generative AI agent named Elon, designed to revolutionize the way employees interact with core enterprise data. By leveraging Google Cloud’s PaLM 2 for Text model, Camanchaca extracted information from text files containing production data. A web-based user interface was developed to connect the Vertex AI API to the text files and training models, resulting in a user-friendly interface for employees accessing Elon on the go. This interface connects enterprise data from BigQuery to the large language model, enabling natural language responses following automatic response patterns. Camanchaca's corporate devices bring Elon to life with voice-enabled commands, replacing the manual data search process with hands-free voice prompts. This innovative approach democratizes data access, making it available to every employee, regardless of technical expertise. Employees can now make informed decisions by simply asking a question, and Elon delivers personalized, meaningful, and concise answers. This paradigm shift enhances decision-making abilities without the time-consuming task of manually sifting through and assembling data, thereby transforming the employee experience at Camanchaca.

HEINEKEN Uses the Cloud to Reach 10.5 Million Consumers
For 2012 campaign, the Bond promotion, it planned to launch the campaign at the same time everywhere on the planet. That created unprecedented challenges for HEINEKEN—nowhere more so than in its technology operation. The primary digital content for the campaign was a 100-megabyte movie that had to play flawlessly for millions of viewers worldwide. After all, Bond never fails. No one was going to tolerate a technology failure that might bruise his brand.Previously, HEINEKEN had supported digital media at its outsourced datacenter. But that datacenter lacked the computing resources HEINEKEN needed, and building them—especially to support peak traffic that would total millions of simultaneous hits—would have been both time-consuming and expensive. Nor would it have provided the geographic reach that HEINEKEN needed to minimize latency worldwide.
