Established by Mr. Shelly Fireman in 1964, the group has grown to include several renowned restaurants such as the Redeye Grill, Bond 45, Cafe Fiorello, Brooklyn Diner, Fiorella Italian Kitchen, and Trattoria Dell’Arte. These establishments are known for their charm and connection to local culture, attracting celebrities, locals, and tourists alike. The group places a high priority on providing an exceptional dining experience, which now includes offering reliable and high-performance WiFi to meet the expectations of modern restaurant-goers.

The Fireman Hospitality Group faced significant challenges with their existing WiFi infrastructure, which was primarily composed of consumer-grade access points. These deployments were inadequate to meet the growing demand for high-performance WiFi from both customers and staff. The network was inconsistent, difficult to manage, and lacked enterprise features necessary for trusted performance. As a result, the group experienced negative feedback from customers and staff, including poor Yelp reviews and frequent complaints. The need for a robust, cloud-based solution that could be centrally managed and accommodate the unique requirements of each location became a top priority for IT Director Rocky Lucia.

To address the WiFi challenges, the Fireman Hospitality Group partnered with Trestle Networks, a managed WiFi provider and Arista Networks partner, to implement a new solution. They selected Arista Networks' C-130 access points, known for their high performance and Cognitive WiFi analytics. This solution provided a comprehensive view of network performance, 24/7 security, and gigabit speeds, ensuring a fast and reliable user experience. The deployment was meticulously planned, with site surveys conducted to account for each location's unique coverage and capacity requirements. The rollout was executed during the busy holiday season, demonstrating the ease of deployment of Arista's solution. The new system significantly improved WiFi performance, reduced help desk calls, and enhanced security with Arista's patented WIPS.
