关于客户
Global Washington is a membership organization serving the global development sector in Washington state. Formed in 2008, the organization's goals include increasing members’ visibility, facilitating best practices, and convening Washington’s nonprofits by country, issue, and organization type. The organization is lean and does not have the resources to architect and implement a robust and sophisticated solution. They were using a basic database as their primary tool for helping members connect. However, the database was somewhat limited and its interface design did not include the constraints needed to ensure the data was accurate and clean.
挑战
Global Washington, a membership organization serving Washington state’s global development sector, was struggling with a limited database that was not effectively connecting its members. The database was not user-friendly and lacked the necessary constraints to ensure data accuracy. Furthermore, the organization did not have the resources or expertise to implement a more robust solution. They needed a sophisticated, state-of-the-art platform that could improve the visualization of members’ work and facilitate collaboration. However, as a nonprofit, they had to be mindful of their budget and could not afford to take on additional IT administration or maintenance costs.
解决方案
Esri, a software development and services company specializing in geographic information system (GIS) software and geodatabase management applications, proposed a new way to help connect Global Washington’s members. They suggested that Global Washington use mapping capabilities to improve the visualization of members’ work. Furthermore, Esri suggested that its technology could be deployed as software as a service (SaaS) from a VMware vSphere cloud infrastructure hosted by Bluelock. This solution would alleviate Global Washington's concerns about server management and IT administration. Esri helped Global Washington clean up the existing database and designed a new application with a more sophisticated interface for members to use when they add information about their activities. The new application also featured a highly visual, immersive interface where members could access program information by drilling down through a GIS map.

Remote Monitoring & Predictive Maintenance App for a Solar Energy System
The maintenance & tracking of various modules was an overhead for the customer due to the huge labor costs involved. Being an advanced solar solutions provider, they wanted to ensure early detection of issues and provide the best-in-class customer experience. Hence they wanted to automate the whole process.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.

Integral Plant Maintenance
Mercedes-Benz and his partner GAZ chose Siemens to be its maintenance partner at a new engine plant in Yaroslavl, Russia. The new plant offers a capacity to manufacture diesel engines for the Russian market, for locally produced Sprinter Classic. In addition to engines for the local market, the Yaroslavl plant will also produce spare parts. Mercedes-Benz Russia and his partner needed a service partner in order to ensure the operation of these lines in a maintenance partnership arrangement. The challenges included coordinating the entire maintenance management operation, in particular inspections, corrective and predictive maintenance activities, and the optimizing spare parts management. Siemens developed a customized maintenance solution that includes all electronic and mechanical maintenance activities (Integral Plant Maintenance).
