挑战
美国职业高尔夫协会 (PGA of America) 作为世界上最大的职业体育组织,其通信基础设施面临着重大挑战。该组织在美国推广高尔夫运动,其总部和教育中心依靠老化的本地 PBX 系统提供电话服务。较小的设施和临时活动(例如锦标赛)必须从当地提供商处购买自己的电话服务。这种各自为政的做法不仅效率低下,而且缺乏冗余。如果由于暴风雨而停电,该组织实际上就会消失,打电话的人除了死气沉沉之外什么也听不到。此外,PGA 希望为组织内的更多人带来视频和音频会议等更新的通信功能。现有的音频会议服务过于昂贵,而且对于经常出差的员工(约占员工的 60%),需要更好的沟通工具。
解决方案
2014 年,PGA 技术运营总监 Laurie French 决定升级并整合整个组织的电话服务。经过大约一年的评估和测试四种统一通信即服务 (UCaaS) 解决方案后,PGA 选择了 RingCentral。 RingCentral 满足 PGA 的所有要求,在其环境中运行得更好,而且价格合理。部署 RingCentral 后,该组织能够将通信成本降低 25%。消除总部的 25 台传真机和专用通信线路、用 RingCentral Meetings 取代昂贵的音频会议服务以及淘汰两台 PBX 可以立即节省成本。由于 French 计划将更多的科室办公室、高尔夫球场和临时场地改建为 RingCentral,预计会进一步节省成本。 RingCentral 还使 French 能够为 PGA 员工提供更多通信功能,提高他们保持联系和掌握办公室动态的能力。
