关于客户
Herrco Cosmetics is an innovative UK-based cosmetics manufacturer and the fastest-growing cosmetics manufacturer in Europe. The company specializes in bespoke product development and formulation. For over two decades, Herrco has been creating some of the most well-known cosmetic products in the UK, and year on year, their formulations are winning increasingly prestigious awards. Based in north Suffolk, Herrco Cosmetics has been steadily accumulating industry experience for over two decades. Founded by Nigel Herrmann, Herrco’s then Managing Director, in 1988, he and wife Sue Herrmann, Finance Director, were joined by son Derek in 2004 as the Technical Sales Director. Derek is now the company Managing Director. A qualified cosmetics chemist, Derek manages much of the new product development along with a growing team of chemists and research and development staff. Manufacturing cosmetics and personal care products spanning skin care, bath, body, and aromatherapy products, as well as more niche markets such as mother and baby, Sun Protection factors, and organics, Herrco is a thriving family business whose company philosophy is firmly rooted in providing flexible innovative solutions for their clients’ production criteria.
挑战
Until early 2014, Herrco Cosmetics was using Sage Line 200 for finance with the Dexterity add-on for inventory and manufacturing. Although these systems and manual processes were supporting their business requirements at that time, the company was not getting the complete visibility of information it needed. Herrco was also concerned that the systems in place would not offer them the growth and flexibility they desperately needed. A fundamental requirement for Herrco was that the chosen system needed to support the cosmetics industries standards for Good Manufacturing Process (GMP). It also needed to be sufficiently flexible to enable the company to continue to offer its customers a wide range of manufacturing solutions. The company carried out a thorough system evaluation process and eventually came down to a shortlist of three potential suppliers, SAP Business 1, Epicor, and WinMan. The company had decided that only a fully integrated ERP solution would give them the platform for growth required.
解决方案
For their ERP needs, Herrco turned to WinMan ERP. The architecture of the WinMan system enables the software to be configured to meet the precise business processes of an organization. This was a key factor in Herrco’s decision to implement WinMan. Herrco’s manufacturing processes comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. The company strives to demonstrate its quality assurance and control mechanisms in a clear and concise way. Accordingly, the company has gained certification from several accreditation bodies, including ISO: 22716 certification for Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), British Retail Consortium global standard for consumer products, and a Food Hygiene License. ISO inspectors, when carrying out the ISO 22716 Good Manufacturing Practice certification inspection, complemented Herrco on their quality systems, especially their ability, within WinMan, to provide full product traceability and accountability in both the production and distribution processes. The track and trace function within WinMan not only supports the company’s Quality process but also saves them time. Ali sees the system as a key component within the end-to-end Herrco business process and it is Ali’s task to integrate the WinMan system within Herrco’s in-house processes. It was also Ali’s responsibility with Julie Skinner, Head of Planning, to validate the system within Herrco’s business processes. The validation process consisted of establishing a test plan and test scripts which defined the inputs required and the expected results for each of the key processes.

Improving Vending Machine Profitability with the Internet of Things (IoT)
The vending industry is undergoing a sea change, taking advantage of new technologies to go beyond just delivering snacks to creating a new retail location. Intelligent vending machines can be found in many public locations as well as company facilities, selling different types of goods and services, including even computer accessories, gold bars, tickets, and office supplies. With increasing sophistication, they may also provide time- and location-based data pertaining to sales, inventory, and customer preferences. But at the end of the day, vending machine operators know greater profitability is driven by higher sales and lower operating costs.

Hospital Inventory Management
The hospital supply chain team is responsible for ensuring that the right medical supplies are readily available to clinicians when and where needed, and to do so in the most efficient manner possible. However, many of the systems and processes in use at the cancer center for supply chain management were not best suited to support these goals. Barcoding technology, a commonly used method for inventory management of medical supplies, is labor intensive, time consuming, does not provide real-time visibility into inventory levels and can be prone to error. Consequently, the lack of accurate and real-time visibility into inventory levels across multiple supply rooms in multiple hospital facilities creates additional inefficiency in the system causing over-ordering, hoarding, and wasted supplies. Other sources of waste and cost were also identified as candidates for improvement. Existing systems and processes did not provide adequate security for high-cost inventory within the hospital, which was another driver of cost. A lack of visibility into expiration dates for supplies resulted in supplies being wasted due to past expiry dates. Storage of supplies was also a key consideration given the location of the cancer center’s facilities in a dense urban setting, where space is always at a premium. In order to address the challenges outlined above, the hospital sought a solution that would provide real-time inventory information with high levels of accuracy, reduce the level of manual effort required and enable data driven decision making to ensure that the right supplies were readily available to clinicians in the right location at the right time.

Driving Digital Transformations for Vitro Diagnostic Medical Devices
Diagnostic devices play a vital role in helping to improve healthcare delivery. In fact, an estimated 60 percent of the world’s medical decisions are made with support from in vitrodiagnostics (IVD) solutions, such as those provided by Roche Diagnostics, an industry leader. As the demand for medical diagnostic services grows rapidly in hospitals and clinics across China, so does the market for IVD solutions. In addition, the typically high cost of these diagnostic devices means that comprehensive post-sales services are needed. Wanteed to improve three portions of thr IVD:1. Remotely monitor and manage IVD devices as fixed assets.2. Optimizing device availability with predictive maintenance.3. Recommending the best IVD solution for a customer’s needs.
